SNB Christmas Block Blog Hop

Welcome to the StretchNBubbles Christmas Block Blog Hop Closed Monday at Midnight
If you came here from Tracy's website then you're in the right place.
If you stumbled upon this hop by accident, go to the SNB blog and start there.
Be sure to leave comments on all the DTs posts along the way to be
eligible for some great prizes!

Alison is in the Christmas spirit and has created a new line of Christmas block images. As you visit each DT member's blog you will see a project created with one of the twelve images in the set.

I created this cute treat box using the digital image called 'squared snowman.' I printed the image out on acetate and created a shaker square. I colored the acetate with Copic Markers.

Photo below shows the inside of the gift box.

Click here if you'd like to watch a video on how to make this project.
Be sure to leave a comment here on this post.

I'll choose a winner from all the comments on Wednesday, September 1st and that person will win the image I used in my card.

Leave comments on all the DT's posts along the hop and you can win the images they used too. Once you've made your way through the hop, you'll be in the running for the overall blog hop winner. The overall winner wins the entire block set!

Your next stop is Allison, click here.

We hope you enjoy all this Christmas cuteness.

Be sure to stop by the SNB Shop to see more wonderful images.

Refreshing

I love the weekly challenges over at 'The Play Date Cafe.' This week's color challenge is to create a layout, card or project using teal, light and dark green. Also, over at Anything Goes, their theme was to use three layers on your project. The digital image used in the card is from Stretch N' Bubbles. Check out the shopping here. I used Flower Soft (Summer) for the 3-d effect for the flowers in the basket. The sentiment is from Create with TLC. I submitted this card over at 'Paper Cutz' their challenge was anything goes. The challenge over at 'Stamp Something' was use a digi on your project. Now that we are in the middle of Summer here in Missouri, I submitted this card over at 'Totally Papercraft' their theme was, Summer Fun.

Imagine

I wanted to share another card I made a few weeks ago at a Stamp Camp I attended. This card is designed using a technique called Black Magic. Click here for directions. The lace was made using the SU Medallion stamp. I loved how this turned out and what a clever way in using this stamp. I submitted this card over at 'Digi Doodle Shop's Best' their theme was; Anything, I Say ANYTHING GOES!!! Over at 'Crafty Sentiments Digital Design' their theme was; Monochrome, plus a hint of color.
Here is step for making the lace using the Medallion stamp:
1. Stamp Medallion with grey ink on white cardstock.
2. Cut out the medallion; slit up one side of the medallion to cut out the center circle (leave the white dots).
3. Run the medallion cut out through the crimper several times to loosen the fibers of the cardstock.
4. Put adhesive on back of the cardstock where the lace will be applied.
5. Carefully gather the lace along the edge.
6. If all else fails, watch a video here.

Monkey Business

This week's challenge #62 over at over at MyGrafico was to create a project with the theme, Anything Goes. So, I created this card using a digital stamp from the set called Monkey Fun By Primsy Doodles. The card layout was a challenge over at 'The Sweet Stop #69.' I also tried out a challenge over at 'The Play Date' which was to use dark brown, beige and green on our layouts. I loved how this combination turned out. I think the colors and image was a winning combination. Also over at 'Digital Tuesday' the theme was; use your scraps. I had the printed paper in my stash for awhile. So, all and all everything just worked perfectly this week. Don't you?
Don't forget to go check out what the rest of the design team created.
