Polkadoodles Blog Hop

The blog hop from last week is still running, so if you've not yet entered then you've got until 12noon GMT on Sunday to enter!
Welcome to Friday and Polkadoodle's Blog Hop with prizes.
The general idea of the 'MALE' hop is as follows - visit each blog in order and collect a word. Write the word down as you go....when you visit all stops the words will state a message. Leave a comment on each of the Design Team blogs to be eligible for a chance of winning their candy.
This card was created using Polka Doodles Father's Day/Family Download Kit. I used 3 of the pattern papers from the kit. I layered the center element three times and the saying twice.

Leave a comment, become a follower and you could be the lucky winner of the A Double Sprinkle of Kraft CD Rom

If you come from Fliss, then you are in the right place! My word for the blog hop is THE. Next stop is Colette. The hop closes on Sunday.
To play along in this week's Polkadoodles 'Male' challenge simply make a project and post it to your blog or another on-line gallery and link it to the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog. Prizes are waiting to be won!
Other challenges I participated in: Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes, Charisma Cardz - Male Card.

Hoot Hoot Hooray - I'ts Your Birthday

For this week's Polkadoodle's challenge, it was to create anything but a card. I created this cute mini heart gift bag.

The digital paper and element is from the Double Sprinkle of Kraft cd from Polkadoodles. Notice the 3-d flower? You too, can make one by punching out 2-five petal flowers. Then pinch the tips of each flower petal. Do this to both flowers. Next, layer the flowers by off setting the petals. Punch a center and then layer a frosted pearl.

What do you think of the mini heart bag? You can download the Mini Heart Bag template by clicking here.

Wings

For this weeks Polkadoodle's challenge, you have a menu to choose from. This is an exciting challenge. For my card I selected to use the color turquoise, lace, crystals and a butterfly.

The turquoise background paper is from the Not For Girls cd, the pattern paper is from the Double Sprinkle of Kraft cd, the butterfly element is part of the 'Magical Days' collection from the All Around & Everywhere cd which I layered with 3-d dots. Then added lace and some crystal. The overall feeling is magical don't you think?

Craft Tip #10: Sticky Scissors

When cutting out sticky items rub some Versamark Watermark ink over the scissors blades. They'll cut right through and not collect the sticky residue on them.

Birthday Bear

Well here we are into May already. I can't believe how fast time goes by..

To create today's card, you will need to stamp the birthday bear image from Creative Vision's Hip Hip Hooray set on white card stock. I choose to color the birthday bear with Copic markers. Did you notice the oval emboss frame? You too can re-create this by using an oval photo mat. You will need to insert your white cardstock into an embossing folder of your choice, next layer on top of the folder your oval photo mat. Next, run the stack through a die cut machine. The center of the oval will be smooth which is perfect surface for stamping.

It's time for another Monday with D'Anne. I created an elegant Mother's day card to share with you today.

Stamp the sentiment 'today is Special just like you' from Creative Vision Hip Hip Hooray set on cream cardstock in black ink and then heat emboss. Next, layer the sentiment onto dark blue cardstock for added interest. The flowers were punched out of cream cardstock and then I used a soft pad and a score tool to give the flowers life.
