Another Small Wonder

Did you get a chance to download the digi freebie on Monday over at Paper Popsicles? If not…it is not too late to get in on it! Don’t forget that this week’s theme is all about Mother, Mom, Mama, Mamasita, and Mommy. You only have a few days to enter a project for the month to be entered into the monthly rak at the right…..and what a terrific prize that is up for grabs again this month! Load your new Mommy projects here.

This card was created using a digital image by Cheeky Radish . The card layout was Friday Sketches #99. When I first looked at this sketch I was not excited however, the more I started creating the better it turned out. I think the layers worked well with this sketch. Do you like to use alot of layers on your cards?

Thank You Bear

Here is another card I created this past week using some scraps of paper sitting around. The image is by Mel Jen's designs. I gave this to someone I work with who brought me some daffodils a few weeks ago. I don't have any of these growing in my yard and she knew how much I enjoy them. What do you think I need to do to improve my coloring skills?

Administrative Professional Day Gifts

This week at work we are celebrating Administrative Professional Day. I create these candy pouches for the staff. The 3-D flowers are made using either the scallop circle punch or the 5-petal punch from SU. I loved how they turned out. The butterfly were made by first crimping the paper and then punching out the butterfly using the SU punch. Leaves is one 5-petal flower cut in half. You will notice a simmer on the flowers. The recipe is below.
Shimmer Spray Dirctions
1 small trial size hair spray
3-4 tsp of (Pearl White) pearl ex powder (add to get the effect you want)
Add the pearl ex powder to the hair spray and shake the two ingredients together. Spray your paper this will put a shimmer onto the cardstock. The powder will not rub off and the alcohol will disappear quickly leaving a beautiful product. I have several of these made up using different colors of pearl ex powders.
Here's another technique using Pearl Ex powders by SCS called "Pearl Ex™ - Melted Pearls"
