Happy Birthday

Good Monday morning.  I had a great weekend, went fly fishing with 17 other ladies.  Even though I didn't catch anything it was still fun.  Today's project is a birthday card.  The layers adds even more drama for this beautiful inspiration.

The card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  The SU main image was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa.

I colored the flowers with Copics: Flowers [RV 04, RV13, RV 21 and V17], Branches [YR14 & E15], Leaves [YG03 & G24]. I added the ribbon for a finishing touch.

Challenges I participated in:
Pile It On - April Showers Bring May Flowers (S)
Outlawz - Anything Goes (May 2)
Aud Sentiments Challenge - #79 Birthday Sentiment (F)
Crafty Ribbons - #77 Anything Goes with Ribbon (May 8)

Ticket Punch Idea

If you still have this old/retired SU punch hangin around, here's an idea to make the shape into a ticket punch.  Love this idea to reuse and repurpose craft supplies we already have.

Strawberries Are Always In Season

I love Strawberries anytime of the year.  Here is a card I made using a free digital image from the web.  I printed out the image three times and layered the following pieces: basket edge, handle and strawberries with foam tape.  I also add Crystal glaze to the Strawberry leaves for added interest. The image was colored with Copics; for the basket I used E13, E15, E18 & E29, strawberries R22, R27 & R59, leaves YG03 and G24.

Challenges I participated in:
Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge #156 - Punched Borders (April 26)
CMC Copic Challenge #66 - Red, Red & Red (April 26)
Paper Creator's Crafts Challenge #7 - All About Spots (May 27)

Free Digital Elements & Papers

I enjoy working with digital elements and papers.  This allows me to create cards with mutiple layers without wasting paper.  Start with a card sketch layout, then create the layers with the digital papers and elements.  I leave some "white space" for stamping the main image. I use Microsoft word for creating hybrid cards however, there are other programs you could use.  Here's a link to a card I created using this technique.

I came across this free download created by Eyeinspire.  You can download it here. Happy Crafting!

This card was created with Kraft cardstock and white embossing powder.  The edges were sponged with white craft ink.  The colorings on the flowers were done with Copic markers.  This is just another way to use your Copic markers.  I added some twine and a decorative boarder to the right side of the card for added interest.  I truly appreciate everyone stopping by to take a look.

Challenges I participated in:
Challenges 4 Everybody - #18 Always Anything Goes (S)
Pile It On - #15 Embossing (S)
Speedy and Friends - #155 Emboss with white (Sat)
Make it Monday - Always Anything Goes

Sweet Girl

I know it has been awhile since I posted anything.  While I was away I asked myself if cards and papercrafts was something I enjoy doing. The answer was yes.  So, I have decided to start posting again.

This card was created with a digital stamp.  For coloring I used Copic markers.  This was the first time I created clouds.  Does the clouds look real to you?

Challenges I participated in:
CMC Challenge #65: All About Hair (04/26)
Digi Stamps 4 More: Anything Goes (04/16)
