Frosted Flurry

Hello, hope you are enjoying this great Saturday. My DH and I tried to go hiking but, the ground here in Missouri is melting. So, there is mud everywhere. I have a gift tag to share with you today. I used the Cricut to cut out the ornament shape from dark blue cardstock. Next came the white snowflakes cut from the Festive Flurry Framelits. I used a Frosted Finishes embellishment for the center and added silver cording. This would be great embellishment for  a gift or card.

Challenges I participated in: *Kraftyhands - AG (Sat), *Time 4 Scrap - #30 Blue, white & silver (Sat), *The Outlawz - AG (01/03).

O' Christmas Tree

I think gift tags are tiny works of art. This tag was created using punches and the Cricut machine. The punches were used for the star, circle and scallop circle. The finishing touches include a felt snowfake, a pearl, stickles and ribbon.

Season's Greetings

Wow, a year goes by so fast! Today's post is an easy Christmas card. Would you Iike to create this card? Great - First cut a piece of double sided pattern paper 3 x 5 1/2. Fold the patter paper in half the long way. Take the "braided card" template and cut the lines. Create the folded look, the video link will be listed below.  Then cut a piece of solid cardstock 3 1/2 x 5 1/2. Use a border punch on the long side. Layer the pattern and solid cardstock together. I added a piece of ribbon and adhered it to the front of the A2 size card base. Then I stamped the sentiment.

Thursday challenges I participated in: 4 Kraft Girlz - #5 Anything goes, An Inky Situation - #15 Anything goes, Au Sentiments - #92 Christmas Sentiment, Papercraft Journey - Anything goes.

Tip of the Week

I came across this great idea from Paper Smooches to create a 3-D effect for banners. First decide what length you want your banner to be. Next use a score pal and score each end of the banner. Notice the score lines are 1/4 inch apart. I really like this idea!

I love anything Halloween. Do you have punches? Do you wonder what you could make with all of them? Well this post is for you. Start by gathering your SU punches: wide oval, large oval, small oval, scallop oval, circle, owl punch, modurn label & bat punch. The stamp set was SU "Halloween Bash".   To make the cut out on the card, frist measure in 3 inches from the right side. Next, measure down 1 1/2 inches from the top of the folded edge. You will be cutting off the right corner. This is a card I would not mass produce!

Tip of the Week

I saw this great tip over at Patty's Stampin Spot. Great idea when you need to punch out the medallion which has a ribbon tail.

Pull the ribbons and position so that the scallop lines up with the punch. Take your stamped image out of the punch. Finish cutting out the ribbon tails with your scissors.
