Frolicking Frog

I love learning new techniques or revisiting old ones. Today's card is a called a Magic Card. This card is like a pocket and when you pull the tag the message/image appears. This was created using a retired SU Frolicking Frogs stamp set. The main image was colored with Copics: Frog (Y02, YG03, YG67, G21, g24, G28), Frog spots (RV23, RV19, RV14, RV04), the Mushroom (E13, E15, E18, B02, B05, B06). You can watch a video on how to create your own "Magic Card" here.

The Simple Life

Today's project is a simple but sweet Valentine's Day card. This card was created using a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 sheet of cardstock. That's right four cards out of an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock. I came across this card size after watching a video created by babytweetums. You can see the video here. I like the size of this card. What do you think?

Mini Valentine Treat Box

Today's project is anything but a card. So, how about a Valentine mini treat box?  This would be great to make for your kids class mates or your co-workers. Would you make this project?

Directions:
1. You will need pink cardstock measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2.
2. Score on the long side at 1 3/4", 3 1/2", 5" & 6 3/4".
3. Rotate 90 degrees and score at 1 1/2" & 4".
4. Fold on all score lines.
5. Cut following the template (photo below).
6. Decorate the outside of the box using the score lines as your guide.
7. Place the sides together and punch using SU small oval. You will punch both holes at one time. This will make sure your holes line up.
8. Fold in the sides and use red tacky tape to adhere together.

Amour

Today's card features the scored grid technique. The background was first scored into a square grid and then the French script background was stamped in brown ink. The edges were sponged with brown ink as well. Then the background was stamped using the Brocade stamp. The flowers were created using the Bo Ho Blossom punch, the scallop circle and oval punches. Ribbon and pearls were added as embellishments. Click here to see a tutorial on Scored Grid Technique.

Heartfelt

I challenged myself to create a card using two colors. Today's card colors are red & white Valentine card. This card takes some time to create due to all the tiny punch white flowers glued to the center of a white die cut heart. To make this card die cut a large heart out of the center of a piece of white cardstock. Keep that heart, you will cut it down and use it to glue the tiny white flowers. After all the flowers is glued then add red stickles to the center of each. I think you can see how to create the rest of the card by the photo.
